Painted from his studio in Cascade, Montana (named by Lewis and Clark in 1806), and just a block from Nancy and Charlie Russell’s “honeymoon cabin”, this large painting of the Missouri River in winter has just recently been released from Tom’s private art collection. It's currently exhibiting in Tom’s 90-painting retrospective, Inner Light: The Art of Tom Gilleon and considered one of Tom’s finest masterworks.
