"To know color is to understand the emotion it elicits. I prefer to express it with exuberance."
Tapestries of My West
Yes, I’m an artist – figurative, for the most part, and largely western-related.

Cowboys! That’s what you see typically in my work these days. But I’m honestly pulled into expanding toward other journeys that come from my past – and weaving those journeys into my new works. Along the way, I hope to share ‘memories, experiences, and emotions’ that shaped my journey as an artist.

Cowboys will always be a regular part my works, as they are a strong part of my past. I am blessed to be included in museum shows that feature my work, and I will honor that trust with my best versions of the West. But, in addition, I will be introducing into my collections other figurative styles and still lifes - and even landscapes - that are textured and simplified, progressing even more contemporary, as my emotions lead me in my works. I will be weaving my experiences and memories into these pieces and including stories of their creations that form the Tapestries of my West.
