Rusty Yates is a nationally recognized fine art photographer based in the Texas Hill Country, celebrated for his evocative landscape imagery. His work has been featured in Texas Highways and Texas Parks and Wildlife magazines, earning National ADDY and International Magazine Association awards. His photography is held in private collections nationwide and has been showcased in numerous publications, exhibits, and galleries. Notably, he served as the lead photographer for the acclaimed book Seasons at Selah.
 
Yate's passion for photography ignited during his tenure managing Angelina Farms, a cattle and timber operation in East Texas, where he began capturing images for informational and promotional purposes. This experience led him to pursue photography as an art form, traveling globally to document diverse natural environments.
 
Beyond his artistic endeavors, Yates is deeply committed to land stewardship and conservation. He serves as the Chairman and President of the Bamberger Ranch Preserve, an internationally acclaimed foundation dedicated to land conservation and public educational outreach. Together with his wife, Ellen, he actively engages in initiatives promoting native habitat restoration and open space preservation. The couple resides in the Texas Hill Country, where they often collaborate on various projects that blend their artistic and environmental passions.
