Heather Carisch was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and currently divides her time between Los Angeles, California, and Destin, Florida. She holds a B.A. in both Art and Business from Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. Heather furthered her studies at the Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy; the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado; and the Santa Fe Institute of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

While working at a gallery in Minneapolis, Heather began to focus on her own art, exploring and developing her skills in printmaking techniques. Her work has since been acquired by esteemed corporate collectors, including the Huntington Medical Research Institute in Pasadena, California; University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Carlson Companies in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her pieces also grace private collections of prominent individuals, such as Bill Gates and Gerard Cafesjian, among others.
